What has been Bud Selig's worst act as commissioner?

We've done polls before, but never one allowing you to pick where you think Bud Selig has done the most harm to baseball. If you think we've missed some, write in!

The 1994 strike: Selig had complete power over negotiations, and cancelled the season and World Series, effectively killing the Montreal Expos franchise and allowing the term "scab" forever brand several "replacement" players.

Announcing contraction: On the heels of one of the most exciting World Series ever, Bud takes the stand and announces contraction plans. The Series had helped heal a nation, and that goodwill was immediately lost.

Conflicts of interest: He owns the Brewers, received a bridge loan from the owner of the Twins, and controls the salary of the Expos.

Interleague play: It's cheapened the All-Star game, it's cheapened the World Series.

All-Star tie: In 1970, the game went 12 innings, ended when Pete Rose bowled through the Indians' Ray Fosse. In 1961, the second All-Star game of the year was declared a tie when a downpour struck after the 9th inning of a 1-1 game. Bud can only sit through 11.

Ownership shuffle: Jeff Loria destroyed the Expos, John Henry ran the Marlins on the cheap. Then suddenly John Henry owns the Red Sox through a hugely leveraged bid (that wasn't the highest), and Jeff Loria gets the Marlins?

Realignment: The Brewers magically were allowed to be the team to transfer to the NL (so they didn't have to pay a DH).

Contributions to Brewers: Even though the team is in a "blind trust", he's contributed $13.2 million and his daughter Wendy was president, plus he lobbied for the new ballpark.

Selective rules enforcement: In 1995, the Brewers were leveraged to the hilt — the debt level was at 97% of the franchise's value. In 2001, after record revenues brought the Brewers back in line, he announced that enforcement of the "60/40" asset/debt rule was going to happen. Penalties to players and owners have been wildly uneven as well.
