Which 2005 draft-eligible QB will enjoy the best career?
Aaron Rodgers, California: Sure-fire first rounder, and possibly the first overall pick.
Alex Smith, Utah: Smart QB, good athlete. But was his college career inflated against inferior competition?
Charlie Frye, Akron: Good leader, good feet, but might not have the pinpoint accuracy needed.
Andrew Walter, Arizona State: Throws line drives like Brett Favre, but has been severely dinged up in college.
Jason Campbell, Auburn: Good physical tools, but can be inaccurate and not see things on the field.
Dan Orlovsky, Connecticut: Tough fellow, but has problems with the deep ball and played against noone in college.
Derek Anderson, Oregon State: Would be a more complete package if he could protect the ball in and out of his hands.
Kyle Orton, Purdue: Less mobile than Theismann after the broken leg. Could be too much of a shotgun QB.
David Greene, Georgia: Strong leader. Left-handed. Throws a flutter ball a little too often.
Jason White, Oklahoma: In addition to his Heisman, he picked up two torn ACLs, a broken toe, broken bone in his hand, and brusied shoulder. Tough guy who might get injured on his way to the combine.
Timmy Chang, Hawaii: Can be moody, streaky, and just awful. But he can also be fantastic in a wide-open pass-pass-pass system.
Chris Rix, Florida State: Inconsistent. Underachieving. Only sees his secondary receiver in the lockerroom. Arrogant. But he'll wind up in somebody's training camp.
